Thursday, Jan 20, Tutorial 1

Getting Started

You will need a flash drive to save your work to.

You will need to come by my office in the Business Division and pick up the Student Data Files disk. My secretary, Patti, will have them at the front desk. They will be available after 1:00 on Friday, Jan 20.

So you will retrieve files from the student data files cd and you will save your work to your flash drive.

About the Text

This text is divided up into two different sections: Concepts about Presentations (Pres pages), and Learning about PowerPoint (PPT pages). We will start off with simply working with PowerPoint - the PPT pages.

First Assignment

PowerPoint Tutorial 1:

  • Complete Case Problem 1 on page PPT 34 and 35. Again, you do not have to print any activities. However, you will email me your final presentation, Volunteer, to mindy.holder@sccc.edu, with PowerPoint - Tutorial 1 in the subject line of the email.

This Tutorial does not have to be completed with this first week. We will work on it for a few weeks before moving on. However, continue checking the blog every Thursday for assignment updates.
